The Science Behind A2 Milk
All milk contains beta-casein protein, but in two variants — A1 and A2. When A1 is digested it releases BCM-7, a peptide linked to bloating and inflammation in many people. A2 protein does not produce BCM-7, making it significantly easier to digest — especially for those who feel uncomfortable with regular commercial milk.
Modern high-yield breeds (Holstein Friesian, Jersey) predominantly carry the A1 gene. India's indigenous humped cattle — Gir, Sahiwal, Red Sindhi — naturally produce only A2 milk, which is why traditional Indian households thrived on desi cow milk for thousands of years.

Commercial milk from HF and Jersey cows contains A1 beta-casein, which forms BCM-7 during digestion — linked to bloating and discomfort in many people. A2 milk from indigenous breeds like Gir and Sahiwal contains only A2 protein, making it gentler on the gut.
Which cow breeds does Swarg use?
We source exclusively from Gir and Sahiwal cows — India's oldest and most revered dairy breeds. Both are certified A2 producers. Our partner farms are within 150 km of Bangalore.
What time is milk delivered?
Subscription deliveries happen between 5 AM and 8 AM. The exact window depends on your area in Bangalore. Most central Bangalore customers receive milk by 7 AM.
Is the milk pasteurised?
Yes. We use low-temperature (LTLT) pasteurisation to eliminate pathogens while preserving natural enzymes, vitamins, and taste — unlike high-heat commercial processing.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?
