The Problem with Mithai Today
Walk into any sweet shop in India and you will find beautiful mithai — but most of it is loaded with refined white sugar, hydrogenated vanaspati, artificial colours, and preservatives that keep them shelf-stable for weeks. The flavour is there, but the nutrition is not.
Traditional Indian sweets were never like this. Ladoos were made with jaggery, sesame, and ghee. Barfi was just milk, saffron, and a little natural sweetener. These sweets were considered nourishing, not just indulgent.
Swarg has spent 15 years perfecting traditional recipes using the ingredients they were always meant to use. When you share our mithai at a festival, you are sharing food that is both joyful and wholesome.

The Swarg Way of Making Sweets
For over a decade and a half, we have slowly yet steadily innovated our recipes around one question: how did our ancestors make this dish when they had no white sugar, maida, artificial colours, or chemical flavours? The answers reflect in every sweet we make.
No White Sugar
Feel light with sweets made with natural sugars — very gently sweetened, for the soul.
Freshly Prepared
No aluminium vessels — only iron and stainless steel. We prepare on order, and can customise for you too.
Pure Ingredients
No artificial ingredients, colours, or flavours. Only vegetable- and spice-based colours and flavours.
Made by Meditators
Nothing short of genuine love. Our entire team practises yoga and pranayam before they start cooking for you.
Natural Sweetness, Four Ways
Experience the rich heritage of traditional recipes, reimagined with modern health-conscious ingredients. Each sweet is handmade in small batches to ensure exceptional quality and freshness — so you can savour every mouthful guilt-free.
Instead of refined white sugar, we sweeten with what our grandmothers reached for:
Organic Jaggery
Unrefined cane sweetness with deep caramel notes — the traditional choice for ladoos and halwas.
Brown Sugar
Minimally processed, keeping its natural molasses for a rounder, gentler flavour than refined white sugar.
Palm Sugar
Slow-cooked palm sap with a mellow, toffee-like sweetness and naturally rich flavour.
Figs & Dates
Whole-fruit sweetness with added nuts — indulgence that's good for you.
Our Rasmalai Creations
Soft chenna dumplings soaked in creamy rabdi made from fresh A2 milk from forest-grazing cows — no white sugar, flavoured only with real ingredients.
Our Ingredient Rules
The same standards apply to every sweet and savoury that leaves our kitchen.
- ✓Organic cold-pressed oils — never refined oil
- ✓Whole-grain and millet flours — no maida
- ✓Saindhav (rock) salt — not iodised table salt
- ✓Certified-organic ingredients wherever available
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these sweets suitable for diabetics?
Our sweets are made with low-GI sweeteners like jaggery, dates, and coconut sugar — significantly better than white sugar. However, they are not sugar-free in the clinical sense. People with diabetes should consult their doctor and enjoy in moderation.
What sweeteners do you use?
We use organic jaggery, Medjool dates, coconut sugar, and occasionally raw honey. The choice depends on the recipe — dates work beautifully in energy ladoos, while jaggery is traditional for til (sesame) ladoo.
How long do the sweets stay fresh?
Most dry sweets (ladoo, barfi) stay fresh for 7–10 days at room temperature and 3–4 weeks refrigerated. Khoya-based sweets are best consumed within 4–5 days. We print production and best-before dates on every package.
Can I order customised gift boxes?
Yes. We offer customised gift boxes for festivals (Diwali, Pongal, Onam), corporate gifting, and wedding favours. Minimum order of 10 boxes. WhatsApp us for custom requirements and we will send a quote within 24 hours.
Do you use A2 milk in the sweets?
Yes. All milk-based sweets (peda, barfi, halwa) are made with our own A2 desi cow milk and khoya. This gives them a richer, creamier flavour than sweets made from commercial dairy.
Which sweets are gluten-free?
Most are naturally gluten-free — besan ladoo, coconut barfi, til ladoo, dry fruit ladoo, and peda. Sweets made with atta or sooji contain gluten. Allergen information is listed on each product page.
