Our story

Why we started Swarg

Swarg began in 2011, when a group of us — volunteers from the Art of Living Ashram in Bangalore — kept running into the same question: why is it so hard to find food that doesn’t harm the people eating it?

We went looking for answers in the way Indian kitchens worked seventy years ago. Milk came from indigenous desi cows that grazed freely. Ghee was churned slowly, the traditional way. Sweets were made with jaggery, not refined white sugar. Nothing needed a preservative, because nothing sat on a shelf for months.

So we started producing food that way ourselves — first A2 milk from forest-grazing desi cows, then ghee, sweets without white sugar, and snacks made from ingredients you would recognise from your grandmother’s kitchen. Fifteen years later, our morning delivery reaches more than a thousand Bangalore homes before 8 AM, and our sincere effort is still the same: help our customers regain health, while relishing the taste of heaven.

The Swarg Family

Fifteen years, one mission

  1. 2011 – 2014

    The beginning

A small group of Art of Living volunteers set out to make good food that doesn’t harm the consumer — starting with A2 milk from indigenous Gir and Sahiwal cows, sourced through direct partnerships with farmers who rejected crossbreeding and synthetic hormones. 2. 2015 – 2019

    Growing the kitchen

The product range grew the only way we allowed it to — one traditional process at a time. Full Moon Ghee, churned in small batches. Sweets made fresh without white sugar. Savouries from recipes older than any of us. [FILL: when each product line actually launched, head chef Himanshu’s story]

    • Full Moon Ghee launched
    • Sugar-free sweets and traditional savouries
  3. 2020 – 2023

    A thousand morning doorsteps

Daily morning delivery became the heartbeat of Swarg — milk reaching subscribers across Bangalore’s apartment communities before 8 AM, every single day. [FILL: pandemic-era story, delivery team growth, B2B beginnings]
