Ragi, jowar, bajra, amaranth — we bake with grains that were on Indian tables long before maida arrived.
No White Sugar
Sweetened with jaggery, dates, coconut sugar, or raw honey. Real sweetness with nutritional value intact.
No Maida, Ever
All bakes use whole-grain or nut flours. Maida is a nutritional zero — we left it out entirely.

Certified organic where possible — especially for grains, fats, and sweeteners. We know our suppliers personally.
Why Ancient Grains Make Better Desserts
India has over 50 indigenous grains eaten for thousands of years before industrialisation pushed them aside. Ragi (finger millet) is rich in calcium and iron. Jowar is high in fibre and antioxidants. Bajra is one of the best sources of plant-based iron. Amaranth is a complete protein.
We use these grains as the foundation of our desserts. A ragi brownie has more nutrients than a conventional brownie and a lower glycaemic index. A jowar cookie provides fibre that keeps blood sugar stable. Baking with ancient grains requires more skill — they behave differently than maida — but the result is worth it.
Every dessert on our menu was tested through dozens of iterations before we were satisfied. Healthy food should also taste exceptional — there is no compromise at Swarg.

What makes your desserts "healthy"?
We replace the three main culprits in conventional desserts: white sugar (replaced with jaggery/dates/coconut sugar), refined maida (replaced with whole grain or nut flours), and unhealthy fats (replaced with desi ghee or cold-pressed oils). The result is a dessert with fibre, micronutrients, and a lower glycaemic impact.
Which desserts are available?
We rotate seasonal offerings, but regulars include ragi brownies, jowar cookies, banana oat muffins, date-walnut cake, coconut flour pancake mix, and jaggery halwa cups. Check the shop for this week's menu.
Are your desserts suitable for children?
Absolutely. Our desserts are a favourite with parents who want to give children something sweet without white sugar. Ragi cookies are especially popular with toddlers. No artificial colours or flavours — what you see is what is in it.
Do you cater for events and parties?
Yes. We take bulk orders for birthday parties, kitty parties, office events, and celebrations. Minimum order is typically 2 kg per item. Reach out via WhatsApp at least 3 days in advance.
Are the desserts gluten-free?
Several desserts are naturally gluten-free — ragi items, coconut flour items, and almond-based items. However, our kitchen handles wheat (jowar, bajra), so we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination for severe celiacs.
How are the desserts delivered and what is the shelf life?
Desserts are packed fresh and delivered same-day or next-day in Bangalore. Baked items last 3–5 days at room temperature, 1–2 weeks refrigerated. We use no preservatives, so please store accordingly.
